The Pickwell Foundation - The foundation of what we do

Every single penny of the profits we make from running Pickwell Manor goes to the charitable Foundation we’ve set up.

We set up the Pickwell Foundation several years ago to try to make a positive contribution, in our own small way, to two areas that we are particularly passionate about: displaced people and climate change. We call it ‘people and planet’, for short.

The Foundation works by partnering collaboratively with charities that specialise in these two areas. We’re a grant-making charity, so we support the charities financially. We also partner with them to support their activism and advocacy.

Our annual funding pot comes from our businesses (like this one, Pickwell Manor) and our social investments, which are largely in the green energy and social housing sectors.

It means that by coming to stay with us you are helping, in a small way, to make the world a slightly better place. We thought you’d like to know.
